The album has three official album artworks, all shot by American photographer Marilyn Hue.[9] The original cover art for Diamonds and Dancefloors was unveiled by Max on June 1, 2022, on her social media platforms. It features a close up of Max covered in diamonds with a diamond in her mouth.[10] The cover was later only used on physical versions of the album; the new one was used on digital and streaming editions.

The new cover art for the album was unveiled on December 19, 2022, once again on Max's social media platforms. It was taken after the filming of the visualizer for "Dancing's Done", the album's fourth single, featuring Max laying on blue diamonds with sliver ones seen near her head. In an interview with ET Canada, Max explained why she changed the album's cover:

Diamonds & Dancefloors is a pop[14] and dance-pop[15][16] record with a "synth-pop backbone"[17] and "electropop melodies with some 90s synths and a touch of disco".[18] According to Max, the sound and lyrics of the album "will make you cry and dance at the same time". She described the album's main theme as "basically heartbreak on the dancefloor".[19] Unlike her previous album, Heaven & Hell, Max mentioned that Diamonds & Dancefloors is more about her personal life, especially her past relationships.[20] The album contains lyrics about the deterioration and eventual breakdown of a relationship,[21] as well as empowering and escapist lyrics.[22]

As part of the promotion for her second studio album, Max announced the 12 Days of Diamonds & Dancefloors campaign, a series of short video visualizers for the twelve remaining album tracks to be released, after releasing the fourth single of the record, "Dancing's Done". This event started on December 21st, 2022, and ended on New Year's Day of 2023.

Ava can be seen lying down in a sea full of diamonds as she has also dressed in a diamond-crested bikini. Her red hair seems, and the lights reflecting her face suggest and evoke emotions of being elegantly sexy and the center of attraction. As the album name suggests, little lights from the shining diamonds denote the representation of a dancefloor with the lights gleaming.

Ava recently reached her first top 10 on Billboard's Top Album sales chart thanks to the US sales of her 'Diamonds&Dancefloors' album, selling 7,000 copies in one week. It's her second charting title in the US since her 2020 release 'Heaven & Hell'.

Ava Max has officially announced her new album. The singer took to social media to share a photo of her head sticking out of a pile of diamonds. Her dark red hair matches the lipstick shade on her lips, which have a single diamond delicately placed between them.

"So proud to announce that my new album," she wrote. The album is called Diamonds & Dancefloors and is scheduled to drop on October 14, 2022. The project will follow up Ava's debut album Heaven & Hell released in September of 2020. The album featured hits like "Sweet but Psycho," "Kings & Queens," and "My Head & My Heart." 041b061a72
